Wait why's the sheet in D when the song sounds like it's in C# ?
The question at least one person asks under almost each video of Baroque music played on period instruments. So after 50 people I give this answer for the 51st time. The current standard of a'=440 Hz was only agreed upon in the 20th century. During the Baroque period there was no universally agreed upon pitch for a'. It could be as low as 392 Hz - a tone below a'=440 - (mostly French music), or as high as 465 Hz - a semitone above 440 Hz. Since the 1960s 415 Hz has been established as a quasi standard for most of the German music (Bach, Händel, Telemann), Italian music is not played so uniformly at 415 Hz (a semitone below 440), but Il Giardino Armonico does it here - as also many period instruments ensemble. If you check on my channel the passions and masses of Bach, vocal works of Händel, neither of them is played at 440 Hz, each of these works is played at 415 Hz.

Interesting. I don't have the dots under the bass notes in my partituren Edition Breitkopf which I used singing alto and tenor long time ago. I noticed the dots under the whole work in Herreweghe cd in 1989...stunning singing and playing.

The note that it is performed a semitone higher than the score is wrong! It is performed in the same key but at the higher Chorton (a'≈465hz). Pitches were not fixed until the 20th century. The historically-informed performance practice knows about that and uses it for their performances. Therefore, your remark might be correct through a modern shade, but not if you know about historically-informed performances (meaning true musicians). Then you might think that someone transposed it, but no one did.
😅😅😅 Under my videos of Bach's, Händel's and some of Mozart's work people with absolute pitch repeatedly complain that "it is not in E flat major, it is in D major", and I have to repeat what you wrote here that a'=440 has become the standard only in the 20th century, during the Baroque period a' varied between 392 and 465 Hz. And I am astonished that practically 60 years after Harnoncourt's recording of the Brandenburg Concertos many people seem to be unaware of the fact that performers on period instruments usually do not use a'=440 Hz (only for some Italian music). In Renaissance a cappella vocal music, however, the performers usually use a'=440, but here mixed choirs (especially English choirs) transpose pieces notated in chiavi naturali a minor third upwards, whereas pieces notated in high chiavette are virtually invariably sung at a lower pitch - choirs like the Sixteen, Tallis Scholars a tone lower, many other choirs a fourth lower. So in a cappella music I try to find scores which are in the same key (assuming a'=440 Hz) as the performance, but when this is not the case, I make a note in the description. I know that Schütz cannot be classified as Renaissace music, but this is a cappella music with a basso seguente type of continuo, that's why I treated it like I treat Renaissance music.

The only thing that bothers me is that the audio is actually a half step below the notation... The Sopranos don't start on a C but a B so everything is a half step below
You won't find any performance using period instruments that uses the pitch a'=440 Hz, since it was not the standard pitch in England (or in fact virtually anywhere) during Hãndel's time. Unless you want to stick to the dated performing style of Baroque music on "modern" instruments, you should get accustomed to various pitches other than the standard established in the 20th century.
